These are the current requirements for renewing your Ohio Refrigeration Contractor license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.


• To renew your Refrigeration Contractors License in the state of Ohio, you are required to complete 10 hours of continuing education every year.
• Refrigeration Licenses expire every year and continuing education must be completed prior to expiration. Excess continuing education hours may not be carried over to the next renewal cycle.
• Refrigeration Contractors may take any approved course in the state of Ohio. Continuing education courses must be pre-approved through the Board.
• The continuing education course providers are required to submit continuing education hours completed to the Board within 7 days. Contractors are encouraged to maintain a record of continuing education completion. The Board will only accept proof of hours from the course provider.
